KAMPALA
NRM cadres who lost in the last election are set to meet with the senior presidential advisor on political affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo to discuss matters in rebuilding the party ahead of structural elections.
The members under their umbrella, Transformer Cadres Association Uganda (TCAU) will meet Namyalo on March 15, at the Office of National Chairman (ONC) Kyambogo at 9am.
Lt. Moses Magufuri Mugisha, the association’s national coordinator said the purpose of this consultative meeting is to engage the members in mobilization of party members to take part in the ongoing nationwide registration and update of NRM registers exercise.
“I held a meeting with the senior presidential advisor on political affairs on March 12, 2024 , and we agreed to engage all former aspirants who lost in NRM primaries in 2020 to forge way out to rebuild the party,” Rtd Lt. Magufuri said.
The mobilization, registration and update of registers exercise was fledged by the party national chairman also the president of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa at the NRM Secretariat Kyadondo on February 28.
