LUWEERO: Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, wife to the National Unity Platform president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, has narrowly escaped being shot at by blood thirsty police officers who opened live fire bullets to stop NUP event in Nakaseke.

Blood thirsty and armed to the tooth police dispersing expectant mothers who had come to listen to Barbie Kyagulanyi.

Barbie Kyagulanyi was attending an event at Kikamulo Health Centre III in Nakaseke at the invitation of Nakaseke Luweero – NUP leadership to donate various women empowerment items in the area when police started firing live bullets and spraying pepper to disperse expectant mothers and young girls who had gone to receive maternal and menstrual health equippments.

Vehicle truck carrying some of the equippments which Barbie Kyqgulanyi had gone to donate to hospitals in Nakaseke.

Barbie and NUP leaders were expected to donate among other equippments; maternity beds, gloves, Mama kits, sanitary tissues to Health centres in Nakaseke.

Journalist covering an event where police attempted to end Bobi Wine’s wife life as they tried to stop an event in Nakaseke.

During the scuffle, two unidentified journalists were injured with bullets wounds.

By the time of compiling this report, police had not responded to the fatal events by their officers in Nakaseke district.
