South Sudanese lady jumps from Alera apartment 4th floor in Nansana, dies instantly
NEWS– The territorial police in Nansana Municipality are investigating a suspected suicide of Nyameisha Kueth, 20, a South Sudanese national.
The incident was reported at police on Wednesday July 14th 2021 by a security guard of Alera apartments, where the victim is said to have committed suicide from.
Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Metropolitan area Deputy Police Spokesperson told this reporter that they have already established that the deceased has been staying with her step mother.
Owoyesigire adds that on Tuesday morning, the deceased went missing from their home which prompted her brother to report her missing at Nabweru Police Station but she later returned at home that evening.
“Today at 6am Wednesday, she was seen by the security guard climbing to the 4th floor of the apartment and then jumped to the ground” Owoyesigire noted.
He adds that she died immediately after hitting the ground.
Police visited the scene and recorded all relevant statements and the body conveyed to Kampala Capital City Authority mortuary at Mulago for a post mortem.
