KAMPALA
Police at Kira Road are holding two suspects in connection with the aggravated robbery and murder of a 24-year-old businesswoman and social media content creator in Kyanja, Kampala.
The deceased, Namulinde Diana popularly known as Diana Skyz was living alone in an apartment in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division.
She was allegedly attacked and strangled to death on the night of February 3, 2026, and her body was discovered the following day after friends reportedly went to check on her and found her apartment door open.
“The victim was strangled during the attack, and police are treating this as aggravated robbery and murder,” said Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson.
Owoyesigyire revealed that a security guard attached to the premises was arrested earlier and found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen from the deceased.
“Some of the recovered items were later identified as belonging to Namulinde,” he said.
A team of homicide detectives and Scene of Crime Officers visited and documented the scene. Several exhibits were recovered and statements recorded from key witnesses to aid investigations.
Owoyesigyire confirmed that three suspects have so far been identified, with two already in custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
The body of the deceased was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police said investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
