Police have recovered two dead bodies one along Nakivubo Channel and another one in Komamboga Kawempe after Tuesday’s heavy downpour.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire flooding water carried a body of a street child from unknown place and was earlier on Wednesday retrieved in Nakivubbo channel.
“The first body to be retrieved was of a male juvenile a street child, identified as Ronald,” Owoyesigyire said.
He added that another body of unidentified man was also recovered in Komamboga Kawempe Division Kampala by redidents.
“Another body is of unidentified male adult believed to be in his 30s, he was discovered by residents in Komamboga Kawempe who informed Police.” Owoyesigyire explained.
Owoyesigyire said police retrieved the bodies and were taken to Mulago hospital for postmortem analysis.
He however urged members of the public to always be cautious during the rainy season to avoid such incidents.
