Ministry of Health Uganda has on Saturday December 25, confirmed 1,251 new cases of Covid-19 from the tests done on 23rd December 2021.

This brings the cumulative confirmed cases to 133,232, by December 25.

On Friday, December 24, the new cases were, 1,093 meaning they have now increased by 158 in one day.

According to a Twitter post on the ministry’s page, the breaking down of the new cases is as follows;

The breakdown of the new cases is: 1,242 Alerts And Contacts: Kampala (781), Wakiso (303), Mbarara (22), Jinja (18), Gulu (20), Mbale (8), Soroti (10), Masindi (7), Luweero (7), Busia (7), Tororo (7), Mukono (4), Amuru (10), Kabale (2), Namisindwa (1), Arua (1), Rakai (9). Hoima (1), Kalaki (1), Lyantonde (1), Iganga (1), Kayunga (1) Kyotera (19), Kanungu (1), 9 Truck drivers; Kyotera (6), Tororo (2), Amuru (1).

On December 23, in his Christmas message, President Museveni asked Ugandans to be cautious when celebrating this Christmas festive in order to avoid contracting and spreading corona virus.
