The Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) has joined the rest of the Buganda Kingdom to mourn the death of their Ndiga clan head, Eng. Lwomwa Daniel Bbosa who was brutally killed in a gun attack on Sunday evening.

Eng. Bbosa, a renown businessman in Kampala dealing in electronics was killed by assassins on a motorbike a stone’s throw distance to his home in Kikandwa, Lungujja as he returned from a ceremony to meet his grandchildren from the lineage of the Ssekoba Busanga Kkome clan at Ggonve Katosi in Kyaggwe.

Witnesses, including motorists and locals, retaliated, chasing the assailants on boda bodas and one was killed on the spot while another is still receiving treatment as a result of mob beating.

Addressing journalists at their headquarters on Wednesday 28 February, 2024, Muzeyi Faizo, head of media and communications at UPC mourned the late Lwomwa and commended locals for vigilantly pursuing the assailants.

“UPC sends heartfelt condolences to the Kabaka of Buganda and the Ndiga clan for the brutal murder of its head, Eng. Lwomwa Daniel Bbosa […] UPC shares the sad moments and at the same time applauds the timely intervention and vigilance of the Lungujja residents who daringly took on the assailants,” UPC mourned.

Muzeyi however appealed to the public to always desist from mob justice against suspects because this interferes with the evidence vital in persecution of cases.
