Third Division side Bunyaruguru United have dumped out Premier League side UPDF from this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup.
In the Round of 32 encounter played at Nyakasharu Playground in Rubirizi District today Thursday, hosts Bunyaruguru were 2-1 winners over visitors UPDF.
In the other game played today Thursday, 3rd Division side Kiyinda Boys who eliminated Premier League side Gaddafi in the Round of 64 continued their journey with a 2-1 win over Western Region side Kigezi HomeBoyz in their game at Mityana Ssaza Ground.
Namuwanda Steven and Sebufu Steven scored for Kiyinda in the 23″ and 76″ minutes while Odeke Dickson scored for Kigezi HomeBoyz in the 91″ from the spot.
Action in the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup continues tomorrow Friday;
The defending champions BUL host nine-time winners SC Villa at Njeru at 2pm.
The match will be live on FUFA TV and Kisugu Utd host Paidha Black Angels at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds at 4pm.
