UPDF officer arrested for impersonation
Intelligence has arrested Private Kyambadde on allegations of impersonation.
A statement on the force’s X platform formerly Twitter allege that Kyambadde has been masquerading as a senior officer of the Updf at a rank of Major.
UPDF did not divulge details of the arrest but confirmed Kyambadde is in custody.
“He is in our custody & will be answering charges of impersonation & other activities prejudicial to good order & discipline of the UPDF,” UPDF reported.
Cases of impersonation and misconduct are common among serving, ex officials and other Ugandans. On several occasions, police and other security organs have conducted operations ab arrested numerous people masquerading as senior Updf officers.
