NTOROKO:
Four men suspected to be plotting subversive activities in Uganda have been killed from Ntoroko district.
The four, allegedly part of the Allied Democratic Forces-ADF, were intercepted on Wednesday evening at Kisenge trading centre along the Fort Portal-Bundibugyo road.
Mesearch Kawamara, the Ntoroko Resident District Commissioner said that a joint security team first intercepted the suspects but they tried to physically engage the security forces leading to their shooting.
The bodies have been taken to Fort Portal Regional Referral hospital for postmortem, according to the RDC.
Kawamara said that Ntoroko and Bundibugyo district security teams have been working jointly following reports that some ADF rebels were entering the country under the guise of asylum seekers.
The latest incident comes after two bombs went off in the capital Kampala, leaving six people dead and more than 30 injured.
Police said the bombers were all linked to ADF.
