Police in Kayunga has intercepted an Ambulance registration number UBA 564P and arrested passengers who were aboard.
The arrest followed information that the said vehicle was moving at a breakneck speed from Kampala to Kayunga with no patients. When police attempted to top it at various checkpoints, the driver adamantly refused to stop, and adhere to traffic calls.

According to ASP Hellen Butoto, the spokesperson Sezibwa region police the driver of the ambulance fled upon interception.
“We intercepted the Ambulance at Ntenjeru Trading Centre, along Kayunga -Bbaale road in Kayunga Town Council. The driver fled from the scene, after he was found transporting passengers,” ASP Butoto said.
The four suspects are detained at CPS Kayunga, pending other invesstigations. They have been charged with various offences including misuse of a vehicle.
