President Museveni has appointed Brig Gen Henry Isoke the head of State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Farouk Kirunda, the Presidential Press Secretary has confirmed.
Brig Gen Isoke replaces Lt. Col Edith Nakalema who among other senior UPDF officers were sent for a one year training course at new National Defence College Jinja.
Isoke has served as the deputy director Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and also the head of operations at at the East African Standby Force (EASF).
The outgoing SH-ACU Boss, Lt Col Edith Nakalema congratulated Isoke noting that the unit has a team of committed persons to support him in the smooth running of his duties.

@AntiGraft_SH continues to play in the fight against corruption. I wish Afande Isoke the very best. SH-ACU is made up of a team of committed patriots who will give him all the support he needs”. Lt Col Nakalema congratulated Isoke.
The State House Anti-Corruption Unit was formed in December 2018 by president Museveni under Article 99(4) of the constitution.
It has in liaison in the Criminal Investigations Department of Police under Article 120(3) and other constitutionally mandated agencies carried out several anti-corruption investigations and caused the charging of several persons before the courts of law.
Since the establishment of the unit, numerous investigations have been conducted on corruption related charges in both central and local governments and the private sector.
In related stories, president Museveni on Tuesday further promoted Internal Security Organisation’s (ISO) Dr. Tom Magambo to the rank of Major and further appointed him Director of the CID of the Uganda Police Force replacing Grace Akullo.
This has been confirmed by the UPDF spokesperson Lt Col Ronald Kakurungu on Tuesday night in a press release.
“In the same appointment orders, the president promoted private Magambo of ISO to the rank of Major and appointed him the Director Criminal Investigations Department of the Uganda Police Force”. he said.
