Police in Kayunga District have in custody a nurse and two medical officers for allegedly selling COVID-19 jabs to residents.
Police alleges that the suspects were charging people a fee of UGX 3000 for Covid-19 vaccination at Bright Light primary school in Kisoga Town Council.
The Sezibwa region police spokesperson ASP Hellen Butoto Butoto has confirmed and explained that the trio was arrested following a tip off by the concerned residents.
At least 138 doses of PFIZER vaccines and one doze of SINOPHARM have been recovered from the suspects according to Butoto.
Earlier, Mukono region received covid vaccines but all got expired on February 28th and police says the suspects might have administered poisonous drugs.
The suspects are being held at Kayunga CPS and police has started investigations into the matter.
