Local leaders in Bunyoro subregion have appealed to the government to recognise the faith of unity as a tourism centre and declare as the public holiday June 11th, Owobusobozi Bisaka Birthday as it is a case for other religious faith like Martyr’s day for both Anglican and Catholics.

This was revealed by several members of Parliament during the 93rd birthday celebrations of owobusobozi Bissaka in Muhooro village, Kampyemi sub-county Kagadi district.

“Just like other religions like Catholics  and protestant have public holidays so as they also want inorder to be recognized.” stated Hon.Aseera Steven.

However,Nabbanja promised the congregation that she is going to present the demands to her  boss.

” I want to promise you that I have heard all your demands and am going to tell them to my boss Museveni and whatever he tells me,I will come back and tell you,” Nabbanja stated

She used the same platform to decry the prices of commodities that are high and urged the them to embrace Parish development models program inorder to get out of poverty.

Museveni congratulated Owobusobozi Bissaka with a brand new car worth sh.600M and sh.20m for fuel.

Every year 11 June, thousands and thousands of people gathered at Muhooro village,Kampyemi sub-county Kagadi  district to celebrate the birth day of the self proclaimed God “owobusobozi  Ruhanga”.
The religion  has 35 obukwenda or branches.

While preaching to the  congregation, Owobusobozi said due to disunity that existed in the whole world that’s why they started this religion so as unity prevails.
“Bible divided us you see a Catholic cannot be in good terms with a Christian.”Stated Owobusobozi

The function was attended by many dignitories from Bunyoro sun-region and the entire country.
