The directorate of criminal investigation at Kibuli is still investigating on the allegations of one Muhammad Kabanda who claims that his left kidney was removed during the operation in one of the hospitals in Kampala.
Muhammad Kabanda together with his family members recently told reports that the kidney was removed during the operation that he was going through after getting involved in an accident in Lukuli Nganda a Kampala suburb.
However, controversies raised when many media houses started qouting the director of health services in police Dr. Moses Byaruhanga for having come out to inform the public that Kabanda was born with only one kidney.
While addressing the journalists at Naguru police headquarters, the spokesperson of police SCP Fred Enanga informed the public that what Dr. Byaruhanga said was just interpreting the CT scan report form Kampala imaging center.
“Relatives to Kabanda went to Kampala imagining center and this is where the CT scan was taken, they later came to police with the CT scan report and our director for health services helped them to interpret what was in the report ,” Enanga said.

Furthermore, Enanga assured the public and the relatives of Kabanda that the police is still making investigations on this matter and also the expert from medical council are also making investigations and will also bring out their report.
Enanga also appealed to media to report factual and unbiased information to public.
“Media please make sure that you come out with clear and right information about this incident or you can even go to Kampala imagining and get the report so that you report right information,” Enanga added.
