The Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola has condemned the violent attack on Busika police station which occurred on 31st October 2022 at night
According to Fred Enaga, the assailants shot and killed two policemen on duty, injured two while another is in critical condition.
“ They shot and killed D/IP Wagaruka Alex the in-charge CID and PC Ongol Moses both attached to Busika police station. During this attack, the assailants injured two other police officers, who included, PC Ochom Adrian and PC Odana Steven who remains in critical condition. Both injured victims were rushed to Bombo military General Hospital for further medical treatment” Enanga said
Enanga added that the serial criminals were about 7 armed with pistol and guns who burnt several file cases but however the fire was put off by the community.
“The IGP has extended deepest condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late D/IP Wagaruka Alex and PC Ongol Moses. He further wished injured officers a quick recovery” Enaga added
“Our special task teams are working diligently to identify and apprehend the suspects behind the deadly attack. We shall not rest until when they are arrested and brought to book. In addition an emergency alert and deployment of extra manpower has taken place.” Enanga noted.
