Authorities in jinja want all the motor vehicles abandoned on road sides to be evacuated by owners within 7 days
In a letter from the Town Clerk addressed to the public dated 4th August 2023, the town clerk issued a warning to the public and emphasized that failure to respond within the stipulated period shall result into removing and storage expenses.
The town clerk informed all the authorities in Jinja City, RCC, Police Commander, LC1 Chairpersons to enforce the directive.
This is not the first time authorities in urban areas are concerned about such incidences as in recent years they have as well issued warnings to owners of animals especially cows that freely move in towns.
Jinja city is among the recently promoted cities in uganda and is located in eastern Uganda on the Kampala-Kenya highway in busoga subregion.
It is developing at a high rate because it has a power generating dam and therefore, an industrial city more job opportunities for the youth compared to other young cities.
