The UPDF under the Operation Shujaaa operating in DR Congo rescued over 30 people who were abducted by the ADF terrorists in areas Maxabo in North Kivu. In DR Congo.

“ Thirty ( 30) abductees were yesterday rescued after they reported to the UPDF base In Erengeti . This follows last week’s joint UPDF/ FARDC attack in Tingwe hills were 19 abductees were rescued” katamba explained
He added that on 20th August 2023 at around 16 30 hours in the South West ofbKimberembere the joint forces under UPDF’s 11th battallion , operating in Maxabo got in contact with the ADF group and one terrorist was put out of action, and 01 PKM machine gun with other SMGs were recovered.
Katamba also went ahead to reveal that the joint forces of Uganda and DR Congo are still working hard under One mission to purse a group suspected to be under the command of the ADF senior commanders Muhammad Lumisa and Rafiki.
