A couple in Isingiro Isingiro south constituency, Isingiro district is struggling to support their large family of nine children, including triplets born at Rwekubo Health Centre IV.
Concilia Katushabe and her husband Alisencio Matsiko aka Boyi are casual laborers who are unable to make ends meet and are appealing to the public for help.
Matsiko says since the babies were born now 2 months, he has been taking care of the mother at home neglecting his casual labor job in Masaka where he has been working. He notes that the babies, 2 boys and a gal are in good health apart from the fact that the mother cannot satisfy them.
He told our reporter that the family now needs to be supported in all aspects of life; clothes, food, books, soap, water harvesting tank, fees and any kind of help.
Gilbert Rwabambari, a prominent figure in the area and leader of a humanitarian help group, visited the family and provided them with food and other necessities. He has called upon others to join him in supporting the struggling family.
Rev. Wilberforce Bitwiromunda, that helped to transport the Mother and babies from Rwekuubo Health Centre where Katushabe delivered from also praised Rwabambari for his efforts and encouraged the public to help families like the Katushabe’s who are facing extreme financial difficulties.
The Katushabe family’s situation underscores the importance of community support in times of crisis. As they struggle to provide for their growing family, they are relying on the kindness of strangers to get by. Those who are able to contribute are encouraged to do so, and to continue to support vulnerable families in their own communities.
For any kind of help, reach the family on 0757012875/0773154835 in the names of Katushabe Concilia.
