The cabinet on Monday passed the National Physical Education and Sports Policy by the education Ministry aiming at developing and structuring relevance of education and sports in the country.
The development was revealed by ICT minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi while highlighting resolutions of the cabinet meeting at the Uganda Media Centre yesterday September 27.
According to the minister, cabinet also considered to construct a stadium per each region of Uganda and agreed that each school should have a playground.
This is in line with promoting sustainable physical education and sports in schools and education institutions and the country at large.
“Cabinet decided to mobilize Ugandans to take sporting activities as key priority,” said Baryomunsi.
