Yesterday, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni pledged a contribution of 20 million Ugandan shillings towards the construction of the house of Rt. Rev. Charles Martin Wamika, the Bishop of Jinja Diocese. The President made the pledge during his stop-over towards Magamaga after commissioning a Marine Pier at the Sustainment Base in Ntokolo, Mayuge District. He stated that the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister Lukia Isanga Nakadama would bring his cash contribution.
Residents in the area thanked President Museveni for his contribution towards the good cause. Mr. John Bosco lauded Museveni for joining them in their fundraising efforts. During another stop-over in Wantoni- Mukono, the President stated that he would return to the area to educate residents on wealth creation and household income.
The President also thanked the audience for their support towards the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and urged them to maintain their love for the party. This move demonstrates the President’s support for religious institutions and his commitment to improving the welfare of religious leaders.
