Accusations against the Kyabazinga of Busoga, Gabriel Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope have risen after woman petitioned Church of Uganda Archbishop, Dr. Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu challenging the king’s royal wedding over alleged bigamy.
Alison Anne Nadiope, a UK based woman through her lawyers of Mugerwa and Co. Advocates claims that she married with the Kyabazinga in a civil marriage in December 2016 at Milldam House Bunbaby in Portsmouth, England, under Marriage Certificate AK594729L. She further alleges that she has mothered two children Muyisa Mitchell and Josephine Katali, aged eight (8) and six (6) respectively with the Kyabazinga.
“This serves to notify the church of our client’s objection and request that the honourable Church of Uganda does not proceed to wed Mr. William Kadhumbula Gabula, the Kyabazinga of Busoga with Ms Jovia Mutesi during the subsistence of our client’s marriage as the same would amount to bigamy and contrary to church norms,” Alison through her lawyers of Mugerwa & Partners says
She now demands that the church halts the intended marriage of William Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope, the Kyabazinga of Busoga and Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi slated for November 18 at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe, Jinja City.
