On October 31, Bony Mfitemukiza, a laboratory technician reported to police a case of aggravated robbery when he was kidnapped from Africa Oil petrol in Bulega by men armed with pistol and riffle.

The victim was whisked away into his vehicle, Toyota Noah registration No, UBK 464s and put on gun point and drove up to Katabi Forest where he was out on gun point and his ATM card taken after robbing him 14million Uganda shillings.

The Special Forces Command has come out clean after two of their officers and other two people were arrested for intercepting a vehicle they were traveling in.

In a statement, the Special Forces Command spokesperson, Maj Jimmy Omara said that the actions do t represent the institution but the individuals arrested.

“This is a very sad regrettable incident because the suspects who are supposed to protect the lives and property of the said Wanaichi turned around and misused their roles for selfish reasons “ Omara said

He added that SFC shall make sure the due process of the law is swift for the victim to get justice

“This is an isolated incident that does not represent the whole image of SFc. We also do sympathize with the victim for what went through at an appropriate time , we shall reach out to him” Omara emphasized

The two officers involved are soon going to be arraigned before the General Court Martial to answer the charges.

“We are confident that the court martial will handle this case. From the day of arrest till now , a lot of evidence has been collected to allow prosecution to proceed.

Omara also thanked the police for coordinating with SFC all levels to the victim and also provide justice to the victim.
