Pakistan High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E Ambassador Muhammad Hassan Wazir has commended Kampala International University (KIU) for its outstanding education aptitude in the region.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on KIU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mouhammad Mpezamihigo, the Ambassador called for strengthened collaboration between KIU and Pakistan universities in the fields of study as well as students and experts exchange.
Amb. Waziri asked KIU to draft a Memorandum of Understanding t the embassy to find possible fields for collaborations pledged to support any new collaborations KIU might have with universities in that country. He asked KIU to prepare a memorandum of understanding (MoU) detailing possible areas of collaboration pledging further support for collaboration between Ugandan universities and universities in Pakistan.
He was toured around the university entrepreneurship and innovation hub, state of art library among other places in the university.
On the other hand, the Vice Chancellor of KIU, Prof. Mouhammad Mpezamihigo said the idea collaborate is a great opportunity to KIU and an addition to already existing partnerships with several global universities.
During the visit, Prof. Mpeza as commonly referred to presented a gift of the university emblem to the Ambassador who also gifted him in return to strengthen their relations. The VC was in company of the Deputy VC financial and administration, Dr. Janice Busingye.
