Highlighting the camp’s impact, 100 individuals will undergo free cataract surgeries, courtesy of Charity Vision International’s generous donation of surgery sets and the expert medical oversight of Doctors on Mission. This life-changing initiative will spare many from the hardships of blindness, exemplifying the power of collaboration in creating meaningful change.

“This is a true blessing. God keeps surprising us,” expressed Michael Ryer, CEO of Amigos Internacionales. “Through this partnership, we have the extraordinary opportunity to give hope, healing, and sight to those who need it most.”

Beyond the cataract surgeries, the camp aims to treat over 5,000 villagers, supported by a dedicated team of more than 100 doctors, specialists, and volunteers. Services offered will range from general medical consultations and dental care to maternal and child health services, along with health education initiatives.

Spiritual rejuvenation is also central to the camp’s mission. Attendees will have the chance to watch the “Jesus film” and explore the gospel message of hope and salvation. This outreach reflects the belief that true healing goes beyond the physical.

Dr. Paul Mulyamboga, head of Doctors on Mission, International, shared his optimism: “This is just the beginning. Our goal is to bring physical healing through medical care, while also offering spiritual hope through the message of Jesus.”

Amigos Internacionales remains steadfast in its mission to uplift underserved communities through sustainable health, education, and development initiatives, echoing the organization’s vision of creating impactful change that resonates far beyond the moment.
