The Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) has dismissed reports on knocking dead Kyagulanyi’s bodyguard, Frank Ssenteza.
The force’s PR, Brig. Gen. Flavian Byekwaso said on Sunday that Ssenteza fell off a vehicle registration no. UBF 850Z as he tried to jump over it but not knocked dead as earlier purported by media reports.
“UPDF would like to clarify that the late Ssenteza Frank a NUP and close Protection person was not knocked by a military police van as purported, but rather fell of a speeding car registration no: UBF 850Z (Drone), he had to jump to but fell off,” Byekwaso tweeted.
The clarions follows reports by the media alleging that Francis Ssenteza Kalibala alias Frank, a bodyguard to NUP presidential candidate was knocked dead by a speeding military van in Busega Kampala.
The fate occurred on Sunday at around Busega when Kyagulanyi and his team were driving to Kampala to check on Kasirye Ashraf who was shot in Lwengo during a police and Kyagulanyi supporters scuffle. Three journalists sustained injuries in the fracas.
Its has been reported that Ssenteza was rushed to Rubaga hospital where he was announced dead.
