KAMPALA
Police have arrested a suspect following a fatal stabbing incident that left four juveniles dead at Ggaba Early Childhood Development (ECD) Programme School in Makindye Division.
According to police, the incident occurred at the school premises in Ggaba, a suburb of Kampala, where a male suspect identified as Okello Christopher Onyu allegedly attacked and killed the children.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala confirmed the development, describing the incident as tragic.
“The suspect has been apprehended, and the motive behind the killings is still under investigation,” she said.

The Inspector General of Police, Abbas Byakagaba, accompanied by the Director of Operations, Frank Mwesigwa, and other senior officers, visited the scene earlier to assess the situation and oversee preliminary investigations.
Security was prompted to spray teargas and live bullets to disperse residents who had overcrowded the scene, attempting to lynch the suspect.
Police said further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the attack will be provided as inquiries progress.
