According to the deceased sister, Jovlet Kyokusiima, Ahimbisibwe succumbed to cancer of the Colon.

“Our brother has been battling with cancer of the colony which killed him today at 8am,” the sister narrated in grief.

She said he (Ahimbisibwe) died at Divine Mercy hospital in Mbarara city, western Uganda.

Parrots UG caught up with the archeologists of the area, family members to profile to you the biography, career of this fountain of knowledge who devoted his energy in classroom rising to Teacher and the Headteacher in most of Western Uganda first world schools.

Born in 1952 in Bumbaire Sub County, Igara East Bushenyi District, Ahimbisibwe started school at Bumbaire Primary school and Ruyonza School for his primary education.

He joined Ntare School as a chap for six years both in Ordinary and Advanced levels of studies.

He was then admitted to Makerere University for Bachelor of Education with Science majoring in Physics and Mathematics as his teaching subjects.

Family members and old students described him as a smartest mathematician of the time in the whole region.

According to the available literature, Ahimbisibwe did his teachin practice at Makerere college school where he taught math and physics an offer that made him rise to fame and positioned him in a better position with high demand for country’s best schools.

In 1977, as a fresh graduate from Makerere, he was admitted to Kyebambe Girls Secondary School in Fortportal where he taught physics and Maths before he was transferred to Nyakasura SSS still in Fortportal in 1979.

He taught at Nyakasura SSS until 1982.

Between 1982 and 1985, Ahimbisibwe taught physics at Bweranyangi Girls secondary school in Bushenyi. Two years later, the school had its UNEB centre number updated to accommodate A’level students and its at this point that luck befall Ahimbisibwe as school’s head of department – physics and was appointed the Deputy Headteachers.

In 1988, the deceased joined Kashaka girls’ school in Mbarara where he was a headmaster for close to 17 months.

At Kashaka girls, the deceased met resentments from the pastoral community who had turned the school land and some classrooms into a grazing land. This community according to info established by the Parrots UG had forced out Ahimbisibwe’s predecessor who also served the school for a miniskirts time.

The difficult situation forced him to seek for a transfer from Kashaka and he was in May 1989 transferred to Ruhinda SSS in Mitooma district where he spent less than a month.

In the same period, he was called by Bweranyangi girls school board to take over as a head teacher of the school after the girls forced out their then Headteachers in a hot strike.

Its here that history bookmarked him as the first male headteacher for western Uganda’s mightiest Anglican girls’ school Bweranyangi girls as a position he held until 1992.

In 1992, Ahimbisibwe received another ice cold appointment this time from female schools to a single boy’s school, Muntuyere high school Kitunga in Ntungamo district.

Like at Kashaka girls’ school, Ahimbisibwe’s 11 years at Kashaka met gross indiscipline this time by they young boys who strikes every now and then but as a professional and experienced personnel he coped up the conditions.

In February 2003, Ahimbisibwe was transferred to Ntare School in Mbarara where he spent 7 years and seven months before retiring from public service in 2010.

He survived with Four children and One wife.

According to a family source, Ahimbisibwe will be buried on Saturday May 15th at his ancestral home in Bumbaire sub county,Igara East Bushenyi district.
