IGANGA: Police in Iganga has rescued a 4yr old boy from the hands of bad guys that had kidnapped him apparently for ritual sacrifice.
James Mubi, the Busoga East Police Spokesperson told this reporter that three suspects are in custody at the Central Police Station in Iganga on charges of Aggravated trafficking in persons vide CRB 315/2021 of CPS Iganga.
It’s alleged that the trio, had a meeting a day before the abduction discussing how they would kidnap Michael Ainebyona, a son to a UPDF Officer Nelson Mugisha and Mary Tumukwese.
‘’The matter was reported at police and subsequently efforts to find out the whereabouts of the child were stepped up’’, said Mubi.
The police Criminal Investigation Directorate spokesperson Charles Twiine has confirmed the arrest of the Three suspect including a man and two ladies.
Twiine said that upon arresting the suspects, One of them the prime suspect commonly known as Uncle Rogers, a prime suspect attempted suicide by taking poison but was saved by Police Medical officer.
Parrots UG has learned that uncle Rodgers is admitted at Nakavule hospital under tge surveillance of the security.
Uncle Rodgers told police that his girlfriend Justine Namugere, 34, and Brenda Nakaziba 18 were involved in the meeting to have the Mary’s baby kidnapped though the motive is yet to be established.
This is a second case of rescuing juveniles from wrong persons in a course of a fortnight in Iganga district.

He urged parents to be cautious about leaving their children to others or letting them move out of their sight to avoid being abducted.
