The president for the Forum orum for Democratic Change, Patrick Oboi Amuriat has jeered at President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for thinking he was collapsing the opposition after fishing their former deputy president for Buganda region, Hon Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo whom he appointed the minister.

He was referring to Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who replaced Ssebugwawo that was induced to join the NRM party where she was rewarded a ministerial post as state minister of OCT.

“We have brought another big gun.If the other one was an AK47, then this one is a canon,” he said.

Amuriat expressed displeasure to members of the FDC who defected the party and joined other formations particularly the National Resistance Movement.

“There are people who wrote us off especially from an election, the most dissapointing are those who chose to join the NRM – Hon. Ssebugwawo defected and Mr. Museveni is celebrating it.” Amuriat said devastatingly.

He added that the party has appointed the most youngest ever and energetic team of leaders who will help in pushing the party to the heights.

Speaking on his appointment immediately after being inaugerated, the new deputy president Buganda region, Erias Lukwago has pledged to use his expertise to elevate the party to another level.

“I bring with me alot of experience, God for bid I should not mention it, but I believe I am seized with the capacity and I can do my best. I call upon to all of you in high esteem and promise that the perty principles will be the guiding tool in the execution of my duties,” Lukwago said.

“Now that I have reached at the table of men, I will discuss with the party leadership and see how we can build close political bridges not only with political players but also the religious leaders, civil society organisations among others because they all matter in the struggle for change, restoration of democracy and building a truly democratic culture in this country.”

“We must tap into our adubilities and resourcefulness and see how we can galvanize all the efforts in the change we need,” Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago expressed.
