Uganda Revenue Authority football club (URA FC) has qualified for the next round in the CAF Confederation cup after a mouth watering 3-1 win against Ethiopian Coffee football club at Bahir Dar stadium in Ethiopia.
URA had earlier defeated Ethiopian coffee 2-1 in the first leg that was played in Uganda at St Mary’s stadium Kitende.
In Ethiopia, URA took the lead at half time with a 40th minute goal by Cromwell Rwothomio with an assist from Shafic Kagimu.
After 7 minutes of play into the second half Mandela Ashraf netted a beauty to give URA a double lead of the game. 3 minutes later Shafic Kagimu sealed it for the tax collectors making it 3-0.
Ethiopian coffee converted from the spot in the 70th minute to pull one from the back and later goal scorers Cromwell Rwothomio and Shafic Kagimu were stretched out injured.
The two were injured in the 73rd & 75th minutes respectively and substituted with Kabon Living and Nyakoojo Benjamin.
At full-time URA FC was in the lead with an aggregate score of 5-2 against the Ethiopian side.
The URA FC newly appointed gaffer Sam Timbe applauded the boys for a good game played.
“I am happy the players followed the instructions and knew what to do. The team responded well and we achieved victory.” Timbe said.
