As hours are being numbered for president Museveni to address the nation on COVID-19 today at 8PM, reliable sources at the State House have disclosed to Parrots UG churches and mosques, Education Institutions will reopen on November 1, 2021.
Anonymous source told Parrots UG that during the president’s meeting with the national taskforce on COVID-19 guided that places of worship and Institutions of higher learning be reopened after completion of over 100 days lockdown.
According to the source, places of worship will be allowed to reopen with a maximum number of 200 congregation with strict guidelines.
The source said the taskforce realized that some of the institutions are founded on religion which may require them to gather for prayers thus a resolution to reopen places of worship.
Another source on the COVID-19 National Taskforce declined to comment on the subject but said president Museveni will determine on when places of worship will be opened.
The presidential press secretary Linda Wamboka Nabusayi yesterday confirmed to reports that the president will on Thursday (today) address the nation on COVID-19 in a televised address.
