Such a philosophy can only be told by kind people in whom lobbying for their communities in hard and good times fills their souls. The persons who would be an oasis in a desert, ray of light in darkness and a drop of water in a furnace.
Ambrose Byamugisha is mores a kind of person who cannot settle for less in regards to extending charities to communities around him.
Mr Byamugisha, MP hopeful for Ruhinda County in Mitooma district (NRM), has through his organization of Ambrosoli Consult Uganda Limited donated food relief and other household items such as laundry soap to support students from Mitooma district who are stranded in hostels within Kampala and other neighboring areas.
He received generous contributions worth Ugx 250,000 from Mr. Mukesh BABULAL SHUKLA, the CEO SHUMUK group of companies which he used as part of the donations to support students within Mitooma and those stranded in Campus hostels due to COVID-19 measures.
“We shall use this contribution to continue help our brothers and sisters who are in very need of basic necessities.” Mr Byamugisha said.
He further revealed that part of the donations including food relief, boxes of soap, among others have already been distributed to students in Hostel based in Nakawa and others were sent to Mitooma district to help those who left for home.
Dismas Ahwera, the Ambrose Byamugisha liaison personnel in Mitooma district confirmed the receiving of donations in form of laundry soap from Mr Byamugisha and Mr Shumuk.
He said that the office is still identifying higher institution students in Mitooma Town Council to handover items to them.
While speaking to the Parrotsug, Byamugisha pledged to continue supporting students through their Association Leaders and other vulnerable families in Ruhinda during this trial situation.
He appealed to students especially those who are already in the villages to act as channels of creating awareness and sensitization in their communities about corona virus.
“The soap will help students who are already in the villages to fight Corona from their community by washing hands nd sensitising others,” he urged.
This is not the first time he has extended help to Mitooma district communities.
Since March21st when the first COVID-19 case was recorded in Uganda, Byamugisha has been giving support to people, most recent being food relief received from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which was donated to the Moslems in Kabira subcounty Mitooma in the last Ramadhan, he has also donated boxes of soap to familes.
Mr Byamugisha hailed Mr Mukesh for his generous contributions and continued support to Ambrosoli consult.
Mr Mukesh, the CEO Shumuk group of companies is a close friend to Ambrose Byamugisha and also a member of the Ambrosoli Consult Uganda Ltd group. He is also the Vice Chairman NRM Entrepreneurs League.
Additionally, Mr Mukesh is reknown for Shumuk Aluminum Industries Limited [SAIL] one of the leading company manufucturing Aluminum products in Uganda, Kenya and India.
He also founded other enterprises in the country such as Shumuk Forex Bureau, Kigali Steel & Aluminum Works Ltd, Shumuk Diary Products (U) Ltd, Springs International Hotel Ltd among others. These employ a bigger number of Ugandans in different labour forces.
