A horrifying incident of arson and assault has left the residents of Ntarama and Rusenyi villages in Soko parish, Muramba sub-county, Kisoro district in shock. The incident, which occurred on 1st November 2023 at around 13:00 pm has resulted in the destruction of several homes and severe injuries to one individual.

According to Sebaramba George, a 49-year-old businessman and resident of Kabaya village in Gitendere parish, Nyarusiza sub-county, the community members launched an attack on the homes of Nyiransenga, Mukanoheri Christine, and Regina. The assailants allegedly set their houses ablaze, reducing them to ashes along with all their belongings.
