At least four people have been announced dead in a car accident which involved the Bismarkan Isuuzu bus Registration no: UBG 789J, driven by Sulaiman Mutimba, and a Datsun Nissan UAE 907 H.
The accident occurred at around 1PM at Rugando Rwampara along Mbarara – Ntungamo Rd after the Bismarkan bus crashed and destroyed a Datsun Nissan Car leaving lives lost.
A source who talked to Parrotsug said the four passengers who were travelling in the Nissan motor car died on spot. These were Joseph Gumisiriza, (driver) and three other occupants including; a female adult and two juviniles whose identity had not been known by publication time.
Samson Kasasiira, the Police Mouthpiece for Rwizi regional said police arrived at the scene of the accident, picked and taken bodies to Mbarara referral mortuary.
He added that both vehicles have been towed to Central Police Station Mbarara.
Kasasiira said investigations into the cause of the accident have already commenced under file no: TAR 34/2020.
