KCCA showcased their dominance in Ugandan football with a commanding 2-0 victory over Mbarara FC today, January 7, 2025. The match drew a lively crowd, eager to witness the fierce rivalry unfold on the pitch.
From the outset, KCCA displayed their attacking intent, applying pressure on Mbarara’s defense. The breakthrough came in the 56th minute when star forward Emmanuel Anyama scored the first goal. The second goal followed in the 70th minute, with Etienne Katenga finding the back of the net.
Mbarara FC struggled to find their rhythm, with KCCA’s defense proving impenetrable. Despite their efforts, Mbarara FC was unable to break through KCCA’s disciplined defense, and the match ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of KCCA.
As the final whistle blew, KCCA celebrated their hard-fought victory, solidifying their position at the top of the league table. Mbarara FC, while disappointed with the result, will look to regroup and focus on upcoming fixtures.
Currently, Mbarara City ranks 13th in the league, while Kampala City holds the 3rd position.
