Police in Ishaka – Bushenyi municipality have arrested a man on alleged defilement of 7-year-old twins.
Amanya Cryton, 18, a resident of Buhuma cell, Ishaka division reportedly committed the wrongful act on October 4 at around 6pm.
It is alleged that one of the twins ran to her mother, a shop attendant at Kijumo trading center about the incident who rushed home and found the victim naked and defiled.
The mother alerted the LC 1 chairman who caused the suspects arrest.
According to a medical report by the hospital, the victim had been severely defiled and on interrogations, the victims told authority that the suspect had repeatedly defiled them and that this was the third time he defiled them.
Police preliminary reports further established that the suspect is related to the twins’ mother and was the one caretaking of them while the mother is busy at the shop.
Police said investigations into Amanya’s file are complete and that he will be arraigned to court with two counts of Aggravated Defilement.
