Vipers Sporting Club Goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora has signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at St Mary’s Stadium-Kitende until 2023.

The 22-year old Burundian has helped Vipers win the Uganda Premier League trophy last season since he joined the venoms from Burundi outfit Lydia Ludic Académic FC in August 2018. Mutombora also played a key role as Vipers procured the Pilsener Super 8 trophy.

“I have achieved what have achieved here and I hope I can keep on learning, helping the team and lifting trophies over the next three years.”

“I’m really pleased to commit my future to Vipers SC and its great the club has put their faith in me.” Mutombora has asserted.

Date of Birth: March 3, 1998

Weight: 75 Kgs

Height: 6’0 ft

Position: Goalkeeper

Nationality: Burundian

The club has also confirmed the departure of the midfielder Rahman Ssenfuka after playing for two seasons.

“Midfielder Rahmat Ssenfuka has left Vipers Sports Club by mutual consent after spending two seasons with us”. The club has posted on its website.

Rahmat joined the Venoms from Police FC in June 2018 and during his time at the club, he has triumphed the Pilsner Super 8 trophy, checked in quarterfinals of the Cecafa Kagame cup on his debut in 2018. He was also among the players that won the Uganda Premier League last season.

“With due respect, it’s time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Vipers SC. Great thanks to the management, the fans, fellow teammates, Coaches, the staff & every body who was part of my journey since June 2018. Special thanks to the President of the Club, Doctor Lawrence Mulindwa. I shall always stay part of Vipers in memories & wish the club the best. Each journey has a start & an end”. Rahmat has posted on his social media account.

Vipers as a team has thanked Rahmat for his contributions to the club and wished him the best for the future.
