One person has been confirmed dead in a fire outbreak at City House in Kampala.

One person has been confirmed dead in a fire outbreak at City House in Kampala.

According to Police Deputy Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Area Luke Owoyesigire the deceased has not yet been identified.

According to Owoyesigire, the heroic efforts of the fire prevention and Rescue services, the blaze was stopped.

“ However concerns remain about the possibility that Addie casualties within the remnants of the building “ Owoyesigire said

He added that a dedicated team at Central Police Station Kampala is actively working to verify if there are other bodies still trapped inside.

Owoyesigire added that immediate investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the fire adding that the building itself will be closed off until further notice.
