East African Countries,Uganda,Kenya and Tanzania have continued to exhibit extraordinary commitment in a bid to deliver a successful, memorable and transformational 2027 Africa Cip of Nations under the Pamoja banner.
The note of optimism hails from the high level meeting held in Kampala on Thursday where ministers from the three hosting countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to the successful hosting and delivery of CAF Africa Cup of Nations.
The meeting was attended by Hon.Salim Mvuya the cabinet secretary of Kenya,Hon.Peter Ogwang the State Minister for Sports ( Uganda), Tanzania’s Paul Makonda,Presidents of the member Associations and Chairperson of the Local Organising Committees.
During the meeting, the governance framework for the PAMOJA Local Organising Committee agreed upon to ensure smooth coordination and accountability across the three host nations.
Ministers also pushed for a PAMOJA Visa Framework to ease movement of fans, teams, officials, media, and investors through visa exempions, faster clearances, and harmonized immigration procedures.
The CAF acting General Secretary commended the three hosting nations on the progress made so far and emphasized the importance of coordination in planning timely execution and a united regional approach towards hosting a world class continental showpiece.
The hosting nations also expressed their appreciation to CAF President Dr.Patrick Motsepe for his guidance, confidence and support in the ongoing partnership.
They further reaffirmed their committment to working closely with CAF in delivering a successful and memorable event.
The 2027 tournament will mark the first time in history that three countries, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania jointly host Africa’s biggest football showpiece, a move that CAF believes presents a unique opportunity to transform the competition.
