KAMPALA
A 30-year-old man in Kampala was on Wednesday sent to prison over theft of 15kgs of meat.
The suspect is Isaac Sserwadda, a resident of Makindye Kiruddu zone.
He appeared before the Buganda Road Court grade one magistrate, Caroline Kyoshabire and was charged with two counts of shop breaking and theft.
Prosecution states that on 28th November 2023 in Muzaana zone in the Kampala central, Sserwadda broke into a butcher belonging to Kato Sembatya and stole 15 kgs of meat valued at 220,000 Uganda shillings.
Sserwadda however, denied the charges prompting the court to remand him to prison and ordered him to return on December 20, 2023, for trial
