Dr. Mpezamihigo said KIU students are prepared to mitigate the challenges of the work environment through various innovation hubs at the university where they are equipped with entrepreneurship skills to enable them in job creation during and after the university.

Nevertheless, the VC urged the graduands to desist from despising jobs especially at a time when the country is faced with complex challenges of youth unemployment.

“We encourage our students to try as many opportunities as possible not to undermine whatever is given to them in terms of payments and also to consider being creative, coming together, building networks and trying to pull resources together,” said Dr. Mpezamihigo.

He appealed to continuing students and Graduands to remain safe and secure, and guard themselves avoid reckless living in order to enjoy the fruits of their toil.

Among the Graduands of the 28th Graduation ceremony are Parrots Media Reporters namely Annet Nakanwagi (Executive Secretary), Isaac Tayebwa (Head of Sales), Atukunda Brendah and Precious Ankunda (Alumni Reporter). They will be graduating in Bachelor’s of Mass Communication.
