Police have gravely condemned the bad habit of yet to identify persons for undressing suspects including females along the Northern bypass.
On 5th October at around 9:30am, four spects traveling in taxi registration number UBD 071P white in color were stripped naked after they attempted to rob a passenger along Northern bypass.
The suspect however, managed to make an alarm which attracted people to her rescue.
Upon intersection, the crew managed to surround four suspects named Ssebyaala Benjamin, Kanyize Jonah , Busingye Evelyn and Namyaro Mercy who they punished by stripping off their clothes.

In a video that has been circulating on social media, four suspects are seen undressed something that has attracted condemnation by the public and human rights organizations concerted on the female suspects that were undressed and told to spread their legs while the onlookers captured them on videos and taking pictures of their private parts which violates female dignity
Addressing journalists at police headquarters on Monday, the police spokesperson Fred Enanga condemned the act and appealed to the public to stop this habit.
“Criminal suspects in whatever situation they are arrested the pride of the women should be preserved because these are mothers and when you look at the way these female suspects were treated it was really disrespectful and we condemn it,” Enanga said.

Citing out an incident when another woman was undressed by boda boda riders in downtown for allegedly robbing a supermarket, Enanga revealed that there is a rising habit to undress female suspects in the country.
He that they join hands together with the public and all other NGOs to condemn the act because it is violating female pride and dignity.
