Family members reported Twesigye’s missing to the Kabale police station on Sunday , January 7. He was last seen on December 28, 2023.

Last week on Wednesday, Parrots Media published a story of an unidentified body that was found in River Rwabakazi in a suspected drowning.

According to him, the victim was identified by his uncle, a one Silva Owomugisha, 49 yrs, a resident of Kyaruhotora village, Burora parish, Nyarushanje subcounty, Rukungiri district.

Maate said the deceased has been a caretaker at his uncle’s home in Rushambya cell, Kirigime ward, Southern division, Kabale municipality, but disappeared on December 28.

“The deceased is the one who has been staying in the said home alone and on the 28/12/2024, its when they last talked to him on phone,” ASP Maate said

It is further reported that when the deceased uncle went to police to report a case of a missing person and to track if he was in police custody, he was given a bundle of keys recovered from the victim of River Rwabakazi drowning and Owomugisha managed to identify them.

He was later allowed by police to move home and when he tried the keys on the padlocks they opened all the padlocks of the house, which according to police confirmed that, the deceased is known to the uncle.
