Police at Jinja road is holding two suspects for allegedly being in possession of forged COVID-19 car stickers.
The suspects have been identified as Julius and Dickson Mugarura, a resident of Namungoona Zone in Luyanja area.
Patrick Onyango, the spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Police, said one of the suspects identified as Julius ( whose surname is yet to be identified) was on Friday April24th,2020 intercepted at the checkpoint and found with forged stickers.
Upon interrogations, he revealed that a one Dickson Mugarura sold him the stickers. He then led police to Dickson’s home in Namungoona home where 29 more other forged stickers recovered.
Onyango said that the two are detained at Jinja road police station waiting to be produced to court on Monday 27th April.
