The proprietor of Christian Life Church Makerere Kavule, Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga has lashed at Ugandans who forcefully demand President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni jobs as if they are vulnerable to stop doing so challenging them to be more creative and innovative to develop themselves and the country’s economy.

Pastor Ssenyonga was delivering his end of year message and the church programme to usher in a new year of 2024, on Thursday at Makerere Kavule.

He applauded the president for creating a conducive environment that has enabled many Ugandans to lay down various strategies to earn a living.

“Creative and innovation is a mother of prosperity, it is now time for youth to shine don’t wait for government to start and I always encourage you to embrace government programmes like Parish Development Model (PDM) among others,” Ssenyonga said.

Ssenyonga adds that he doesn’t want the year of 2024 to be like 2023, urging citizens especially the youth to start up small business ventures other than waiting on the government to solve their unemployment challenges.

“Let us develop ourselves and Uganda through a collective efforts,” he said.

Furthermore, the pastor expressed concerns over the ongoing rampant corruption practices in the country which have not only disabled national development but also an evil to individuals involved. He appealed to the government and other stakeholders to advocate for the fight against corruption in the year 2024 to revamp the economy of the country.

“Let us now avoid corruption, violence, tribalism as we put ourselves in the hands of God. Let us join Mosques and Churches so that we make Uganda a better Place,” Pr. Ssenyonga emphasized.

On the issue of increasing cases of domestic violence which have greatly caused family breakdowns, Ssenyonga said there is a need for couples to always first scrutinize each other for a long time to ensure a better and sustainable marriage.

“Today’s marriage is done in markets, beaches, concerts beacuse that is where we now find our lovers…,” the pastor challengd.

Christian Life Church New Year Program

Regarding Ushering in 2024, Pr. Ssenyonga says the church will conduct prayers at its headquarters Makere Kavule which will commence on 31st of December at 7:00am up to 1st of January whereby various pastors from within and outside Uganda will grace the new year prayers.

“As we usher in 2024, let us again join Christian life church at Makerere Kavule to thank the almighty God for enabling us enter 2024, and to prayer him to again give us lives,” he said.

He further advised the general public to avoid doing evils such as visiting shrines, shunning away burning tyres among others.

“I encourage you to usher in 2024 in churches than doing acts that could make God annoyed,” said Pr. Ssenyonga.
