In Rukungiri- The Forum for Democratic Change FDC Electoral Commissioner for Rukungiri District is dead.
Godfrey Katunguka according to sources inside the party corridors passed on last night at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital where he has been receiving treatment.
Unlike others who have died of covid-19 related illnesses, Katunguka died a natural death that resulted from cancer of the throat.
It is said by Caleb Musiimenta the Forum for Democratic Change Rukungiri District Administrator that Katunguka took over the District Electoral commission office in 2006.
A tentative program from the party indicates that Katunguka will be laid to rest on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Rwakabengo ward, southern Division in Rukungiri District.
