The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) is expected to release the outcomes of the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams today starting at 11am.
The release of UCE 2023 follows a briefing session to the Minister of Education and Sports, First Lady Janet Katana Museveni by UNEB officials led by chairperson Prof. Celestine Obulamu and Executive Director Daniel Nokorach Odongo on Wednesday.
UNEB spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule Musamba said the release of results ceremony will be broadcasted live on all Radios and Televisions, and UNEB official social media platforms.
Records at UNEB indicate that a total of 349, 459 candidates registered for the 2023 UCE Examination as compared to 364, 467 in 2022.
During the release ceremony , the board ED Dan Odongo will guide the country on the arrangements set up for the smooth transition of learners examined under the old curriculum.
“The 2023 candidates were essentially the last set of learners to be assessed under the lower secondary old curriculum. During the release, UNEB will announce arrangements for the smooth transition that will phase our the old curriculum and usher in the new one,” Jennifer said.
