The speaker of parliament Rt . Hon. Anitah Annet Among Magoogo will be the guest of honor as Kampala International University [KIU] holds grand celebrations of the 26th Graduation Ceremony.

The main celebration will take place at the University main campus Kansanga Kampala tomorrow Saturday 12th November, 2022.

Speaker Among who also double as the Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea district is an alumna of this mighty KIU which has registered enormous accomplishments that have significantly changed, not just the region, but the African and the world through numerous  research outcomes, science, technology and innovations as well as human capital.

A former lecturer at the same University, Among was a special graduands at the KIU 18th graduation ceremony [23rd June, 2018] after she graduated with Bachelor’s of Law (LLB) at the time she was serving as the Bukedea district Woman MP in the 10th parliament.

Being a Speaker of the 11th parliament, she is apparently the most high profile person in the University alumni community along with other dignified individuals who have gone through the gates of KIU.

According to records on a University website, a total of 2,486 students will graduate with among other academic disciplines PhDs, Masters, Bachelor’s degrees and diplomas.

Further reports indicate that 1017 students will graduate with science courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include 184 students who will graduate as medical doctors. Also, 06 students will be graduating with PhDs.

Kampala International University (KIU) has been producing reliable human resource since 2004 by equipping students with practical skills.

“We expose them through internships, school practice and other forms of industrial training. We also give them soft skills such as communication skills, people skills and teach them values and ideals which give them the character to succeed,” says Prof. Mouhammad Mpezamihigo, the Vice Chancellor.

Parrots Media has also learned that the graduation ceremony will be televised on NBS Television and streamed live on all university social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
