Police in Kampala has arrested a suspect on allegations of unlawful possession of house breaking materials.
The suspect is Ismael Katerega, a Boda Boda cyclist at Bikajjo stage Shauri Yako and resident of Masajja zone in Makindye Ssabagabo Wakiso district.
He was arrested on Thursday after security operatives patrolling in the areas of Munyonyo spotted him with two other men on a motorcycle in past curfew hours.
The trio were moving on a Boda Boda registration number UFJ 375K, police managed to arrest Katerega but two of his accomplices run away.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has told reports that the suspect was found with house breaking tools, a panga and a stolen mobile phone.
“He was found with a phone which he admitted he had stolen from some one man in Kansanga yesterday evening. Upon interrogation, he said they were on their way for another robbery mission,” Owoyesigyire explained.
According to Owoyesigyire, the suspect is currently in police custody at Kabalagala police station meanwhile as a search for other accomplices is ongoing
